Since its creation more than 30 years ago, Incidence Sails has always established close relations with shipyards\u00a0: longlasting relationships based on listening and trust. This was recently illustrated in the work with the J\/Boats Team in the development of the last two boats of their J range\u00a0: the J\/99 and the J\/45, which is in competition for the European Yacht of the Year.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bouvier, marketing manager at J\/Boats\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0The set of sails offered by Incidence perfectly matches our requirements. The ratio between performance, durability and price of the D4 is exactly what we were looking for\u00a0: versatile use, usable in recreational or race. It is a membrane that lasts more than a season while remaining efficient\u00bb. <\/em><\/p>\n

He won everything this season\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The design offices of J\/Composites and Incidence Sails firstly collaborated on the J\/99 sails, with sp\u00e9cifications that were race-orientated. The initial version of this set of sails was tested in racing conditions. After some fine tuning, the second version was delivered to a spanish owner that has won every race this season.<\/p>\n

Another J\/99 equipped with this final version of the sails will participate in the Middle Sea Race this week while the J\/99 of Axe Sails continues her succesful season in the Channel.<\/p>\n

We are very happy about the balance of the sails <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

For the <\/em>J\/45, the sp\u00e9cifications was performance orientated without falling into the other extreme.<\/p>\n

Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bouvier\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0This boat has a slender rig with a fairly large potentially sail area. We had to be careful not to create a too powerful set of sails.<\/p>\n

We wanted a product that was at the same time high-end, efficient and both technically and financially accessible. We asked that the D4 created for the J\/45 should be in double taffetas<\/em> in order to be long lasting and usable for race or reacreationnal purposes. We are very happy with the work, design and balance between the sails of this set. <\/em>It really fits with the boats program. <\/em><\/p>\n

Why did you choose the Sailmaker Incidence\u00a0? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bouvier\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0We knew that we would have with Incidence, the proximity and exchange that would lead to a great set of sails. Every boat needs a specific set of sails and there are few sailmakers that actually take the time to really meet this demand. <\/em><\/p>\n

By choosing Incidence we also knew we were going to have the proximity and discussions that would lead to a great set of sails. And we were very confident about the D4.<\/p>\n
